Volunteer Profile- Luisa Mariño

Luisa Mariño is an art therapist, fine artist and educator. She is passionate about combining her educational background to serve individuals, families and communities in search of therapeutic processes. She is interested in exploring the functions of art therapy in the context of community-building, conflict resolution and peacebuilding. We connected with her through the Art Therapy contact person at the GWU Graduate School of Education and Human Development.  She is a native of Columbia, and lives in DC.  What a joy it is to have her exceptional gifts and graces given to us at RCDC!  She has an innate ability to connect deeply, and provide direction, to everyone in her art therapy class, as well as providing direction.  It has been a perfect fit!
